Dann's Family Portrait

Last week I had planned with Dann and her family to do a simple, classic, fall theme shoot.  Initially, we intended to shoot at Longs Parks, which is a wise choice to incorporate the trees, pond, field, etc.  Instead, she decided to have the location to be set in the countryside.  At that point, I was a little nervous because I had no idea of the scenery.  So I arrived there and asked if I can have some time to study the area and find things that piqued my interests.  Luckily, I saw some opportunities and here were the photos that came from that day.

A slanted plane, but I loved the wood boards.

I had the boys together. Love the similarity in outfits.

I saw this amazing white barn. So we had to get everyone there.

At this point, I wanted an individual profile of the kids.  Just so they can showcase a part of their personality.

The whole family!

I had so much fun!  It was also a great challenge to test my ability to find opportunities to capture the family in an environment that I was not familiar with.  There is not enough family portraits being done nowadays and it's great that this family was up for it.  Before anyone knows it, the kids will be adults, maybe with their own families and they can show moments like these to the grand kids.  Time will fly.
